Mechanical Engineering

The mechanical engineering department is a core branch of the institute and was started in the year 2009 with an intake of 60 seats.. It has faculty specialized in the field of machine design and dynamics, production engg. industrial engineering & management, thermal engg.

To facilitate the academic interest of the students and to keep them on the cutting edge of recent technology, the department conducts regular industrial visits, conferences, expert talks and advance training programmes on various thrust areas. The students are assigned practical problems for their project work in the final year level to acquire handsome practical knowledge and experience which helps them getting employed in various private/public sectors and in government jobs.

Mechanical Mechatronics Engineering

Mechatronics (Mechanical and Electronics Engineering) is the synergistic combination of mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, controls engineering and computer engineering to create useful products. The purpose of this interdisciplinary engineering field is the study of automation from an engineering perspective and to serve the purposes of controlling advanced hybrid systems. The word itself is a combination of ‘Mechanics’ ‘Electronics’.

The department is well equipped with the most modern facilities and has a sound technical backup from experienced faculty members. The faculty members are in constant touch with various industries and actively participate in seminars/technical discussions.

Future and Scope

Mechanical Engineering graduates have wide employment opportunities in manufacturing industries, power sectors, process plants and R & D organizations and software industries. Interested graduates can pursue higher studies in convenient discipline such as Machine Design and Analysis, Industrial Design, Thermal Engineering, Manufacturing Sciences, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy studies and Information Technology etc. On successful completion of post graduate courses one can be absorbed in reputed organizations or Academic Institutions.

There is immense scope for this course of mechatronics engineering in the present scenario. This is a stream of engineering which has high scope in various industrial applications.
