Training & Placement Department is a backbone of institute which is committed to develop enthusiasm, strong human values technocratic and good leadership qualities as per the need of hurriedly changing technology working with a strategy oriented planning. Training & Placement Department has an important role to play in a student’s future and is a vital pillar of the institute. The department incessantly strives to help students in pursuing their career goals by acquiring employment seeking skills and eventually to attain desired employment. This is accomplished through building a strong partnership amongst students, faculty members, alumni and companies. The Training & Placement Department looks after the interest of the students and the employers by providing them the necessary platform. We are striving hard to fulfill the industry’s requirement and our focus is to groom the students. The cell believes in overall development of the student’s personality, which will help them to achieve a rewarding career. The Department of Training & Placement has secured 75% placement for all those who registered for the campus recruitment process and some students opted out for higher studies and some for family business. The highest package is Rs.10 lakh while average salary is 3.50lakh.

OBJECTIVES

The Department of Training & Placement has been established with the following major objectives in order to assist students to develop their academic and career interests and help them in achieving their short-term and long-term goals through individual counseling.

  • * To provide resources and activities to facilitate the career planning process.
  • * To empower students with life long, career decision making skills.


CAREER TRAINING


The various training activities undertaken by the T&P Department are:


The PPT (Pre-Placement Training) aimed at sharpening the skills of individual’s for success in placement tests. The program span across days with experts with relevant experience from the industry enabling the transition from college life to corporate ready individuals. A perfect blend of soft skills and relevant information ensures that the students develop confidence and are ready to face the selection process. The department is organized various training programs to train the students in the areas of Aptitude, Quantitative Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Verbal ability, Group Discussion and Personal interview training with the help of the eminent faculty members. The technical training programs are being conducted by technical experts.

  • 1st Year –Communication Skills and Personality Development skills

  • 4th Year –Industry Specific Training and Campus Recruitment.

The Training & Placement Cell regularly organize industrial visits to acquire corporate exposure. Industrial visits and tours is an integral part of the professional course, during which students visit companies and get insight regarding the internal working environment of a company and how a company functions, as well as useful information related to the practical aspects of the educational course which cannot be visualized in lectures. The industrial visit is considered one of the most tactical methods of teaching. It provides students with an opportunity to learn practical through interaction, working methods, and employment practices. Moreover, it gives exposure from an academic point of view.


The Training & Placement Cell arranges mandatory industrial training for students at the end of 4th Semester, and 6th Semester. Each student has to undertake summer training in industries of repute for duration of one or two months. Students are required to work on projects given to them either by the sponsoring organization or selected by the students themselves. The project report is an intensive learning exercise for students to apply particular theoretical concepts into practical situations.
